I love how using just a few, simple ingredients can create something so majestic, and this marinade of mine is no exception. It’s sweet, sticky and savoury with a gorgeous garlic flavour, too… and tastes exactly like the bottled version. Perfect on chicken, pork, prawns, seafood and tofu. Give it a whirl!
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup brown sugar
5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 tbsp finely grated ginger
2 tsp dark sweet soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
- Place ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Simmer for 5-6 minutes or until thickened slightly.
- Notes: Once you’ve made this homemade honey soy garlic marinade, why not try using it some of these Marion’s Kitchen recipes ? If you live in Australia, you can also buy the bottled version of this marinade. Check our where to buy pages to find out stockist information.
